Spain blocks Polymarket and Kalshi and orders internet service providers to block access to these platforms.

According to CoinDesk, Spain’s Ministry of Consumer Affairs has initiated disciplinary proceedings against prediction market platforms Polymarket and Kalshi, and ordered internet service providers to block access to these platforms. The ministry cited their operation without the gambling license required under Spanish gambling law, as well as their failure to implement safeguards for minors and self-excluded gamblers. The blocking measures will remain in effect throughout the adjudication process, which is expected to last three to four months.
