According to CoinDesk, Ripple is attempting to introduce XRP and its stablecoin, Ripple USD, into the AI agent payment market—currently dominated by the dollar-pegged stablecoin USD Coin—in order to penetrate the on-chain micropayment ecosystem. It has launched the “XRPL AI Starter Kit,” a toolkit for developers to build AI agent payment capabilities, enabling agents to perform payments, check balances, and conduct wallet operations on the XRP Ledger, and supporting automated payment workflows based on the x402 protocol. However, Ripple has not yet disclosed any large-scale, production-ready customers or real-world AI agent payment transaction data; the initiative remains in the early infrastructure and developer ecosystem exploration phase.
Ripple has announced a new toolkit for developers to build "agentic payments" applications on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), enabling AI agents to execute automated financial transactions.Ripple stated that AI agents are no longer a future concept; they are already actively participating in paying for computing power, settling invoices, and completing transactions without human intervention. As the application of AI agents expands, the market is accelerating the construction of machine-oriented payment infrastructure, including wallets and stablecoin payment channels, allowing AI to autonomously handle service payments and asset trading. This week, Robinhood also launched a related initiative, allowing users to try stock trading executed by AI agents, with plans to expand into the crypto asset sector in the future; MetaMask has also released a non-custodial wallet solution for AI agents.Ripple pointed out that traditional payment systems are primarily designed for human-initiated and approved processes, whereas AI agents require infrastructure that enables rapid settlement, predictable outcomes, and no need for manual approval. It emphasized that its new toolkit also supports payments based on the x402 protocol, allowing settlement using XRP and Ripple USD (RLUSD).Meanwhile, the IC3 team, composed of researchers from multiple universities, stated that while combining AI with blockchain can achieve automated transactions, AI agents remain highly dependent on humans and the underlying infrastructure and do not possess complete autonomy. Japan's SBI Shinsei Bank will launch a pilot program on June 10, allowing customers to convert a portion of their deposit interest into BTC, ETH, or XRP. The initiative uses "interest exchange" as an entry point to introduce crypto assets into traditional deposit products, enabling users to gain cryptocurrency exposure without direct purchase. Future expansion will depend on customer participation and the regulatory environment. (The Block)
a joint letter initiated by Stand With Crypto, in collaboration with the Blockchain Association, the Crypto Council for Innovation, and The Digital Chamber, has been submitted to U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, urging a full floor vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (the "CLARITY Act") as soon as possible.Over 200 crypto enterprises, industry associations, and community organizations, including Coinbase, Ripple, Kraken, a16z, Circle, and Binance.US, have participated in signing the letter. The joint letter points out that the CLARITY Act would establish a comprehensive federal regulatory framework for the digital asset market, clearly delineate regulatory responsibilities, provide feasible registration pathways, protect software developer innovation, and simultaneously promote the return of more digital asset businesses to the U.S. market. The signatories stated that the bill would help retain innovation, jobs, investment, and market activity within the United States, further solidifying America's leading position in the global digital asset innovation sector. It is understood that the CLARITY Act received bipartisan support and passed committee review in the Senate Banking Committee last month. Senator Cynthia Lummis subsequently stated that the next step for the bill is to enter the full Senate deliberation stage.Additionally, 160 former national security and law enforcement officials have previously signed a letter supporting the bill. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and White House Crypto Advisor Patrick Witt have also publicly called for advancing the legislative process. However, the issue of conflicts of interest between the Trump family and the crypto industry is still regarded as one of the main obstacles to the bill's progress. (The Block)

According to the Central Bank of Russia’s “Financial Stability Review,” Russian private investors currently hold approximately 3.8 billion rubles in cryptocurrency-linked financial instruments—a figure nearly unchanged from 3.7 billion rubles six months earlier—indicating stagnation in market interest growth. Of this amount, 1.7 billion rubles flowed into crypto-linked corporate bonds; 5,600 investors collectively held cryptocurrency futures positions worth 1.7 billion rubles; and roughly 3,800 investors allocated 354 million rubles to digital financial assets pegged to Bitcoin and Ethereum. Major issuers include large banks such as Sber and VTB. Meanwhile, the Moscow Exchange has progressively launched Bitcoin and Ethereum futures, along with related ETFs, and will introduce Solana, Ripple, and TRON futures in May 2026.
XRP Ledger developers have submitted a draft amendment titled "AMM Swappable Curves," planning to introduce three types of switchable curves for XRPL's native automated market maker: constant product, concentrated liquidity, and StableSwap, with a programmable Smart AMM to follow. This upgrade aims to allow liquidity providers to choose a more suitable pricing curve based on asset type, thereby improving capital efficiency. Concentrated liquidity is suitable for trading pairs where most transactions are concentrated within a specific price range, while StableSwap is better suited for assets with near 1:1 exchange rates, such as stablecoins or pegged assets. Existing AMM pools will continue to use the current constant product model and do not require migration. This proposal is seen as a crucial step for XRPL to bridge its DeFi infrastructure gap. Currently, there are over $3 billion in tokenized real-world assets on the XRPL chain, including the recent tokenized U.S. Treasury redemption pilot conducted by Ripple and JPMorgan. However, for these assets to be traded, lent, or generate yields more efficiently, a more mature DeFi liquidity infrastructure is still needed. However, the proposal is still in the draft stage. It will need to go through the XRPL amendment voting process, which could take several months, and its eventual approval remains uncertain. (Coindesk)
the latest weekly report from CoinShares shows digital asset investment products recorded net outflows of $1.47 billion last week, marking the second consecutive week of negative growth and the third-largest single-week outflow of 2026. Cumulative outflows over the two weeks have reached $2.54 billion.By asset, Bitcoin saw outflows of $1.315 billion, the largest single-week outflow of 2026, compressing its year-to-date net inflows from $3.9 billion to $2.6 billion. Ethereum recorded outflows of $223 million, roughly flat compared to the previous week. Some altcoins still saw minor inflows, with XRP attracting $31.8 million, Near $9 million, and Solana $7.7 million.By region, the United States dominated the outflow landscape with $1.425 billion in single-week outflows. Switzerland, Canada, and Hong Kong recorded outflows of $16.2 million, $12.5 million, and $12.2 million respectively, indicating that risk aversion sentiment, which was localized last week, has now spread to most regions globally. CoinShares notes that these outflows are closely linked to heightened geopolitical risks related to Iran. Despite the ongoing legislative progress of the CLARITY Act, market risk aversion continues to deepen.
According to The Block, Bitcoin continued trading below $78,000 on Monday, following net outflows of $1.26 billion from spot Bitcoin ETFs during the week of May 18–22—the second consecutive week of outflows exceeding $1 billion. Nevertheless, Timothy Misir, Research Head at BRN, noted that institutional demand has not vanished but is rotating: during the same period, the XRP ETF attracted $22 million in inflows, the Solana ETF drew $16 million, the newly launched Hyperliquid HYPE ETF garnered $72 million, while the Ethereum ETF saw outflows of $216 million. Ethereum also faced pressure due to the SEC’s delay of its tokenized stock trading initiative, though it posted a modest rebound on Sunday amid heightened optimism surrounding the Iran deal. On the options front, for Bitcoin expiring on May 29, the largest open interest concentrations were at the $75,000 put and $80,000 call strikes; for Ethereum, the largest open interest concentration was at the $2,100 put strike. On the macro front, U.S. and European markets were closed for public holidays, and analysts warned of low market liquidity. Should the Iran deal materialize, it could trigger a sharp drop in oil prices and push equity markets to new highs.

The plaintiff accuses Swan of using "material non-public information" to transfer funds out of Prime Trust before its failure, thereby avoiding significant losses.According to the court filing, Swan had transferred assets including approximately 11,992 Bitcoin (currently valued at around $917 million) out of Prime Trust before it filed for bankruptcy, along with roughly $22.4 million in fiat currency, $5 million in stablecoins, and 91,444 XRP tokens. The plaintiff also alleges that Swan had ties to a senior executive at Prime Trust, who also served as an external consultant for Swan.
