Thailand SEC Files Criminal Complaint Against Bitkub and Two Former Directors Over 2021 False Reporting Case
According to The Nation Thailand, the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a criminal complaint with the Economic Crime Suppression Division against digital asset exchange Bitkub and its two former directors, alleging false statements in daily net capital reports submitted after the 2021 hacking incident. The incident resulted in the theft of approximately 1.7 billion baht worth of digital assets. The regulator believes that Bitkub failed to accurately reflect asset losses and related changes during the period from May to October 2021.
Illinois Enacts Nation’s Strictest Digital Asset Tax Law
According to a post by the Crypto Council for Innovation, Illinois Governor Pritzker has signed a digital asset tax bill—widely regarded as the nation’s most punitive digital asset tax regime—which will impose a disproportionate tax burden on Illinois residents using digital assets. The Council strongly opposes the measure, warning that it will drive innovators and developers out of the state, and has issued an official letter of opposition.

Binance Alpha Removes TTD, OIK, LUNAI and Other Tokens
According to the official announcement, Binance Alpha, based on recent review results, will remove 8 tokens that do not meet Binance Alpha standards from the recommended list on June 30, 2026, at 18:30 (UTC+8): TTD (TradeTide), OIK (Space Nation), LUNAI (Luna by Virtuals), TOWN (Alt town), VINU (Vita Inu), PUP (PUP), CYPR (Cypher), and DGRAM (Datagram Network).
