Central Bank of Russia Adds Cryptocurrencies to Financial Market Risk List

According to Bits.media, the Bank of Russia has identified cryptocurrencies as one of the risks facing the financial market in its report, "Main Directions for the Development of the Financial Market of the Russian Federation for 2027 and the 2028–2029 Period." The central bank noted that digital assets, particularly stablecoins, may be increasingly used by Russian residents as substitutes for the domestic currency, thereby posing risks to financial stability.
