Analysis: Altcoin Spot Market Selling Pressure Rises to Near Five-Year High

According to IT Tech analysis, altcoins—excluding Bitcoin and Ethereum—have recorded net selling on spot exchanges for 15 consecutive months, pushing market selling pressure to an extreme level not seen in nearly five years. Data shows that the cumulative difference between altcoin buy and sell volumes has plunged to the lowest negative range since record-keeping began in 2020. This indicator briefly approached parity at the beginning of 2025 before weakening significantly again and continuing its downward trend.
