According to NBC News, prediction market Kalshi is planning to expand the scope of contracts related to air travel delays, allowing users to trade on outcomes such as whether large-scale flight cancellations occur at specific airports. For example, before a blizzard warning, users can bet on whether more than half of the scheduled flights at a certain airport will be canceled.
