Analysis: Strategy's Move to Daily Dividends May Reduce Volatility and Enhance Bitcoin Financing Capacity

Odaily reports: According to Bitfinex analysis, Strategy shareholders voted on October 28 to approve a proposal for daily dividend payments on STRC preferred stock, with preliminary results showing 99.3% of votes in favor. STRC is expected to shift from semi-monthly dividend payments to daily dividend payments starting November 1, with the first cash dividend payment arriving on November 2; Strategy's other three preferred stocks, STRF, STRK, and STRD, are expected to follow suit in January 2027.Strategy's move aims to reduce price volatility around ex-dividend dates. Company CEO Phong Le stated that previously, when STRC paid dividends monthly, prices fell by an average of about 49 basis points around the ex-dividend date, which dropped to about 36 basis points after switching to semi-monthly payments. The company expects that daily dividend payments will further disperse selling pressure and improve price stability. This model was not pioneered by Strategy. Bitcoin treasury company Strive converted its SATA preferred stock to daily dividend payments in June of this year and launched a subordinated preferred stock, SATS, with a fixed annual dividend rate of 15%. In October, Strive issued 7 million shares of SATS at $90 per share, raising approximately $630 million, and used about $511 million of that to purchase 6,182 BTC.

Analysis: Bitcoin Breaks Above $72K, Dollar Weakness and Fed Liquidity Expectations Become Key to Outlook

Odaily News - Bitcoin extended its gains on Wednesday and climbed above $72,000 on Thursday, reaching its highest level since June 1.Market analysis suggests that the recent rally is primarily driven by easing pressure in the U.S. Treasury market. The White House's earlier signals of support for Treasury market stability alleviated investor concerns over bond market volatility. However, the longer-term trajectory still depends on changes in Federal Reserve liquidity policy.Analyst Pedro Fontes noted that if the world's largest debt market requires policy support to maintain stable operation, it would further strengthen demand for assets that are scarce, predictable, and not reliant on government debt expansion—characteristics that Bitcoin aligns with. Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar index fell 0.88% to 98.77 yesterday, hitting a fresh low since May.Strive Founder and CEO Matt Cole stated that the dollar index has been in a long-term "structural downtrend," and a weaker dollar could create a more favorable investment environment for assets like Bitcoin. Markets will continue to monitor the White House's further remarks on the bond market, shifts in geopolitical conditions, and U.S. initial jobless claims data today, as these factors could influence Treasury yields and market liquidity expectations. Strive Vice President: Major Global Capital Allocators Now Have Bitcoin-Related Tools That Match Their Views

Odaily News, Strive Vice President Joe Burnett posted on X platform, stating that BTC's break-even annualization is often difficult to understand, and it's important to grasp why. The market generally holds three types of views on Bitcoin: Bullish Bitcoin investors believe Bitcoin will appreciate significantly; if they can borrow long-term capital at a cost below 20% and anticipate Bitcoin's future compound annual growth rate will exceed that level, they are willing to finance the purchase of more Bitcoin. Neutral Bitcoin investors require a much lower hurdle rate of return for Bitcoin. According to Michael Saylor's post, if Bitcoin grows by only 3.3% annually, they could sustainably pay current dividends through Bitcoin capital gains. This is a different bet from expecting Bitcoin to grow at a compound rate of over 20%. For context, the historical annual growth rate of the US dollar M2 money supply is around 7%. BTC is a scarce monetary asset with a long-term supply growth rate of 0%. Therefore, buyers of digital credit don't need to be extremely bullish on Bitcoin; they primarily need to believe that Bitcoin won't die out and will roughly keep pace with dollar inflation. This audience is much broader. Joe Burnett stated this might already be the current global consensus view on Bitcoin. Bearish Bitcoin investors can also express their views by shorting Bitcoin or shorting Amplified Bitcoin. Currently, capital has three clear ways to express its view: Bullish on Bitcoin can hold Bitcoin and Amplified Bitcoin; Neutral on Bitcoin can hold Digital Credit; Bearish on Bitcoin can short Bitcoin or Amplified Bitcoin. Every major capital allocator now has a Bitcoin-related tool matching their worldview, and this is how over $1 quadrillion in global capital begins to flow into Bitcoin.

Stock prices of multiple crypto treasury firms declined as they pivoted toward exploring digital credit fundraising, but sustainability remains questionable.

According to the UK’s Financial Times, as prices of crypto assets such as Bitcoin weaken, some crypto treasury firms—whose core business is holding crypto assets—have begun pivoting to a new financing instrument dubbed “Digital Credit” following declines in their stock prices. This strategy, promoted by the firm, offers investors high-yield perpetual preferred shares, with proceeds used to continue purchasing Bitcoin. Since its launch roughly 10 months ago, the initiative has attracted approximately $10.5 billion in inflows. Several crypto reserve companies are now planning to emulate this model, including Strive Asset Management, The Smarter Web Company, and Capital B.

Wall Street analysts upgraded ratings for several crypto companies, believing the market has undervalued their AI infrastructure and capital markets transformation potential.

According to The Block, three Wall Street firms—Benchmark, TD Cowen, and Mizuho—maintained “Buy” ratings on four crypto-related companies—Bitdeer, DeFi Technologies, Strive, and Gemini—on Monday, noting that the market continues to value these platforms, which have pivoted toward AI infrastructure, capital markets tools, and structured financial products, using trading-business valuation multiples. Benchmark analysts reiterated their “Buy” rating on Bitdeer and $27 price target, highlighting its global power asset portfolio of approximately 3.0 GW and the growth of its AI cloud business’s annual recurring revenue—from roughly $10 million at the end of January to approximately $69 million by the end of April. TD Cowen raised its price target for Strive to $30, forecasting a 26.1% Bitcoin yield for the company in 2026. Mizuho maintained its “Outperform” rating on Gemini but lowered its price target from $12 to $10, noting that although Q1 trading volume declined by over 50%, trading revenue remained largely flat—reflecting higher fee rates and an optimized revenue mix.
