Odaily Odaily: Securitize shares are expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday under the ticker symbol SECZ. Securitize is a tokenization company backed by BlackRock, which has assisted companies like BlackRock in issuing securities on-chain. Securitize President Brett Redfearn stated that bringing real-world assets on-chain allows investors to control assets in digital form and reduces intermediaries in traditional businesses. Using stock lending as an example, he noted that Robinhood currently retains approximately 85% of the related revenue, while Charles Schwab splits the revenue evenly with users. Redfearn believes that DeFi can offer investors in the tokenized securities ecosystem more ways to utilize assets, but such growth also depends on development by external builders. Robinhood is expected to launch a new product on Wednesday; previously, Compass Point analyst Ed Engel suggested that it may include tokenized stocks compatible with DeFi.
OdailyOdaily Planet Daily reports that Robinhood has officially announced on X that the Trump Account application (supporting iOS and Android) is now live and available to all eligible American families. Users can now activate their accounts, which will officially begin accepting deposits on July 4, 2026.Robinhood added that all US children under the age of 18 with a valid Social Security Number are eligible to open a Trump Account; eligible children born between 2025 and 2028 will receive an initial $1,000 contribution from the U.S. Treasury; family members, friends, and employers can contribute a combined maximum of $5,000 annually; the account is designed for long-term investment. The so-called "Trump Account," also known as a 530A Account, is a tax-deferred investment account plan authorized by then-President Donald Trump on June 9, 2025, under the "Big and Beautiful" Act. Its purpose is to establish government-funded savings accounts for children of US citizens born between January 1, 2025, and January 1, 2029. The Bank of New York Mellon has been designated as the financial agent for the Trump Account, while Robinhood serves as the designated broker-dealer and initial trustee.
Sky (formerly MakerDAO), in collaboration with Spark and Uniswap, announced that the initial 150 million in liquidity for FX Layer, a stablecoin exchange system jointly developed by the three parties, is entirely sourced from the Sky ecosystem's stablecoin USDS. As the platform's core pricing asset, USDS provides base liquidity for USDS/USDT and USDS/PYUSD trading pools, marking the first large-scale implementation of this shared liquidity framework. The long-term plan for the three parties is to introduce institutions engaged in stablecoin operations, such as PayPal's PYUSD, Ripple's RLUSD, Robinhood, and Revolut, to access the unified infrastructure. This eliminates the need for each issuer to independently build liquidity pools and market-making systems. Simultaneously, a governance mechanism will be established to allow idle funds not involved in market-making to generate ongoing returns.Looking back to June 25th, Spark and Uniswap officially announced the launch of FX Layer. The division of roles is clear: Spark acts as the orchestration layer to allocate cross-stablecoin liquidity, while Uniswap v4 executes transaction paths via its programmable AMM mechanism through the DualPool hook. It offers a one-stop stablecoin exchange service for banks, fintech companies, and payment enterprises.

Bernstein suggests Robinhood is poised for a "strong tailwind" as prediction market trading volumes hit record highs during the World Cup.Data shows that daily trading volume in prediction markets during the early stages of the FIFA World Cup surged from $2.2 billion on June 11 to $4.8 billion on June 12, setting a new all-time high, surpassing the $1.4 billion traded during the previous Super Bowl.Analysts note that prediction markets have become one of Robinhood's fastest-growing revenue lines since their launch. The firm projects Robinhood's prediction market revenue will grow from $150 million in 2025 to $586 million in 2026, representing an increase of approximately 286% year-over-year, and is expected to account for 17% of trading-related revenue and 10% of total revenue in 2026.Bernstein believes Robinhood's partnership with exchange and clearing house Rothera, which is regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), is a competitive advantage. Since its launch on May 28, Rothera has processed approximately 200 million contracts in 18 days, with FIFA World Cup and MLB-related contracts contributing nearly all of the trading volume. Analysts state that Robinhood's core strength lies in its distribution capability, with its massive user base, a commission of $0.01 per contract, and strategies like up to 50% fee discounts for Gold members helping to drive user engagement.Furthermore, Bernstein indicates that competition in the prediction market space is expanding, including Polymarket launching event contracts for private companies and Kalshi introducing cryptocurrency perpetual contracts. The firm estimates that the World Cup will bring over $3 billion in new betting volume to prediction markets and boost overall consumer trading volume in the industry by $5 billion to $10 billion. Institutions such as Binance and Coinbase are also offering World Cup contracts through partnerships. Currently, on the Myriad platform, Spain and France have the highest odds of winning. (Decrypt)
Ripple has announced a new toolkit for developers to build "agentic payments" applications on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), enabling AI agents to execute automated financial transactions.Ripple stated that AI agents are no longer a future concept; they are already actively participating in paying for computing power, settling invoices, and completing transactions without human intervention. As the application of AI agents expands, the market is accelerating the construction of machine-oriented payment infrastructure, including wallets and stablecoin payment channels, allowing AI to autonomously handle service payments and asset trading. This week, Robinhood also launched a related initiative, allowing users to try stock trading executed by AI agents, with plans to expand into the crypto asset sector in the future; MetaMask has also released a non-custodial wallet solution for AI agents.Ripple pointed out that traditional payment systems are primarily designed for human-initiated and approved processes, whereas AI agents require infrastructure that enables rapid settlement, predictable outcomes, and no need for manual approval. It emphasized that its new toolkit also supports payments based on the x402 protocol, allowing settlement using XRP and Ripple USD (RLUSD).Meanwhile, the IC3 team, composed of researchers from multiple universities, stated that while combining AI with blockchain can achieve automated transactions, AI agents remain highly dependent on humans and the underlying infrastructure and do not possess complete autonomy. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev announced that the company's brokerage and clearing business division, Robinhood Securities, has been approved to act as an IPO underwriter. It is currently unclear which specific regulatory agency completed this approval, but the relevant regulation of the IPO process typically involves the FINRA and the SEC.This move represents a further upgrade based on Robinhood's existing IPO Access business. Through IPO Access, Robinhood users can participate in subscribing to shares of companies about to go public. The underwriter, however, assumes a more core role, not only assisting private companies in completing the listing process but also acting as an intermediary between the issuer and investors. IC3, a research group composed of researchers from multiple top universities, has released a research report stating that claims about crypto technology being able to solve core AI problems are often exaggerated. These exaggerated claims include identifying AI-generated content, eliminating algorithmic bias, and enabling AI Agents to achieve full autonomy. The report points out that AI systems do not become smarter simply by having a crypto wallet, nor are they more resistant to human manipulation or shutdown. The primary function of the wallet is to enhance automation capabilities, allowing AI Agents to conduct on-chain transactions, payments, and call infrastructure without requiring manual approval for each step. The researchers believe that AI Agents will still rely on humans and underlying infrastructure. Traditional payment systems can also support partial automation. Therefore, while blockchain may have some application value in AI payment and trust mechanisms, it is not a universal solution. The report also responds to the recent industry热议 regarding on-chain payments by AI Agents. MetaMask recently launched a non-custodial wallet for AI Agents, and Robinhood also plans to allow users to conduct crypto transactions through AI Agents. (The Block)
According to The Block, Robinhood Markets has completed its $180 million acquisition of Canadian digital asset services firm WonderFi. WonderFi operates Bitbuy and Coinsquare—the two largest regulated crypto platforms in Canada—and existing users will be invited to migrate to the Robinhood app. This acquisition pushes Robinhood’s overseas registered user base past 1 million, adding approximately 300,000 Canadian users. Robinhood stated it will continue supporting WonderFi’s partnerships with local institutions to further expand its institutional business. The deal was initially announced in May 2025 and originally slated for completion in the second half of 2025 but was delayed until now due to technical deployment and regulatory approval requirements.
Robinhood has announced it will serve as the core technology and service provider for the "Trump Account" investment plan, with the application officially launching this Thursday.Analysts suggest that while the "Trump Account" may offer limited short-term returns, the plan essentially functions as a long-term user acquisition mechanism driven by U.S. government funds. In the future, it could drive expansion into areas such as brokerages, crypto, credit cards, and AI-powered financial services. This holds significant strategic importance for Robinhood. By co-building infrastructure with institutions like BNY, it has the potential to become the "first investment entry point" for millions of underage users, thereby reducing customer acquisition costs and strengthening long-term user stickiness.
