According to CNBC, OpenAI launched ChatGPT for Financial Services on September 10, a customized version of its enterprise product ChatGPT Work, jointly designed and developed with Morgan Stanley and Evercore, powered by the latest GPT-6 Astra underlying model. The product automates traditionally junior banker tasks such as company research, financial data analysis, and investment banking PPT creation, while natively integrating industry-standard data sources like LSEG, Daloopa, and PitchBook. Nick Turley, VP of Products at OpenAI, stated that the tool aims to boost employee productivity rather than directly cut jobs, and the company plans to introduce customized solutions to additional industries in the future.

The AI assistant Doubao, developed by ByteDance, has officially launched its Professional Edition service. Based on the newly released Doubao 2.1 series model, the Professional Edition is designed for users in complex office and productivity scenarios, offering higher usage quotas and introducing for the first time an office task mode capable of executing Agent tasks.According to the introduction, with user authorization, the office task mode can directly operate the local computer and browser, assisting with tasks such as document processing, spreadsheets, and data organization. It also supports cross-application automated operations like automatically publishing scheduled Weibo posts. This mode comes with an integrated Office suite, supports multi-round editing and collaboration on online documents, spreadsheets, and PPTs, and provides Skills packages for creative design, data visualization, and financial analysis, while also allowing users to customize their own skills.Additionally, the Doubao Professional Edition supports scheduled tasks, which can automatically generate daily reports and summary information. In application development scenarios, it also supports quickly building online application systems with back-end databases. The related database functionality is currently in gray-scale testing.In terms of pricing, the standard subscription plan for the Professional Edition is 68 RMB per month (continuous monthly billing), accessing the Doubao 2.1 Pro model. According to Yicai, the Doubao app’s App Store page recently displayed a statement regarding a paid version. Doubao’s official response stated that the platform has always offered free services and is currently exploring the launch of additional value-added services; however, related plans remain in the testing phase. Sources close to Doubao revealed that the paid features will primarily focus on complex tasks and productivity scenarios, including PPT generation, data analysis, and film & television production. The official statement noted that as model capabilities continue to improve, such complex, high-value tasks require significantly more computational resources and inference time; therefore, a paid service is planned to meet this demand, while the free version will continue to serve users’ everyday needs.
