Pebble, a savings platform that offers a 5% annual yield on all cash deposits, converts fiat money deposited by users into USDC and then lends the funds to "highly regulated institutions" such as crypto companies Coinbase and BlockFi, as well as traditional financial entities, including hedge funds, charging a premium in return. Pebble lends money with 150% overcollateralization.
