BNB Chain Growth Director Supports Robinhood Chain Choosing Arbitrum? Says Lowering Gas Fees Is No Longer the Top Priority for Blockchain

Odaily News: Solana and Arbitrum co-founders engaged in a heated debate over Robinhood Chain's fee structure. In response, BNB Chain Growth Director Nina Rong posted on X platform, stating: "Setting aside the debate over 'what's best for Robinhood,' what I really want to point out is that further reducing gas fees is no longer the top priority for the blockchain industry."The true top priority for all blockchains today is to find sustainable business models, which in turn drive their technology and development. Business models can include gas fees, revenue sharing, and other forms of commercial agreements. Over the past five years, blockchain foundations have been known primarily for two things: 1. Providing grants/investments; 2. Reducing gas fees. For blockchain companies to sustain another five years of growth, they need to establish solid commercial structures.Previously reported, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko stated that if Robinhood Chain were to join Solana, the 10% revenue share paid to Arbitrum could be redirected to subsidize user transactions, making them completely gas-free. Offchain Labs co-founder Steven Goldfeder responded that if Robinhood Chain chose Solana, Robinhood would be unable to generate any revenue from gas fees.
