According to Midi Libre, a couple in Alès, France, was recently attacked at home by two masked armed individuals. The two suspects, armed with handguns and knives, tied up and threatened the victims for over two hours while their young children were also inside the house. The attackers reportedly attempted to force the victims to hand over their crypto assets before fleeing the scene after neighbors called the police. The case has been taken over by relevant police authorities in Nîmes for investigation. Following the incident, the victims stated they have decided to no longer hold any crypto assets to avoid experiencing similar events again. The report noted that France has recorded approximately 80 similar incidents since January of this year.
