Surges Over 25%, Ionic Digital Rises to Nearly $63 on Nasdaq Debut

OdailyOdaily News Bitcoin mining enterprise and AI infrastructure company Ionic Digital today made its direct listing debut on the Nasdaq under the ticker IOND. The stock opened at $50, with a reference price of $53, and surged over 25% during trading to nearly $63, implying a valuation of approximately $2.75 billion. Founded in January 2024, Ionic Digital acquired most of the mining assets from the bankruptcy restructuring of crypto lending platform Celsius Network, including mining machines, infrastructure, approximately $195 million in cash, and 540 BTC. Currently, Ionic Digital holds 2,861 BTC and is shifting more power capacity toward long-term AI lease agreements.

According to Bitcoin News, Bitcoin mining company Ionic Digital disclosed that it has completed a $400 million private placement financing. Financial data shows that the company achieved revenue of $51.4 million in the first quarter of this year, of which the digital infrastructure leasing (AI/HPC) business contributed $44 million, surpassing Bitcoin mining business revenue for the first time.

According to Cointelegraph, Bitcoin mining company Ionic Digital has filed a direct listing application with Nasdaq, planning to use the stock ticker IOND. This listing does not involve new financing; the main purpose is to provide existing shareholders, especially former creditors who obtained shares through the Celsius restructuring, with a public trading market.
