Pruden stated that AI models are becoming increasingly adept at discovering software vulnerabilities and cryptography implementation flaws, and may even be able to crack some encryption algorithms directly in the future.However, AI is also being used by developers for code auditing, formal verification, and testing post-quantum security systems, creating a "long-term security arms race" with simultaneous upgrades on both the offensive and defensive sides. Odaily Odaily News: A recent report released by Gate Research Institute, titled "Research and Backtesting Analysis of BTC Trading Framework Based on Multi-Agent LLM," points out that compared to a single LLM directly generating trading signals, the Multi-Agent LLM architecture more closely mirrors the research and investment process of real financial institutions. By leveraging collaboration and debate among analysts, researchers, traders, and risk control teams, it enhances the transparency and risk control capabilities of trading decisions. The research, based on the TradingAgents framework, constructs an AI trading system applicable to the crypto scenario for the BTC market, introducing multiple agent roles such as technical analysis, news analysis, sentiment analysis, and macro/on-chain analysis.Using BTC/USDT 1-hour data, the study conducted historical backtesting of the TradingAgents-BTC strategy. The results show that the strategy achieved a total return of +20.25% during the testing period, significantly outperforming the Buy & Hold strategy's -7.89% over the same period. Furthermore, its maximum drawdown was controlled at -17.41%, lower than the Buy & Hold's -27.06%. The research suggests that during periods of consolidation and decline, the multi-agent framework can reduce some risk exposure through Sell/Underweight and Flat states, and re-enter long positions during market rebounds, thereby improving overall risk-adjusted returns.The report indicates that the Multi-Agent LLM framework shows certain application potential in crypto trading scenarios. However, the current backtesting period covers only about three months, and 1-hour level trading may still be affected by transaction fees, slippage, and signal latency. Future work requires further validation of the strategy's stability and generalization capabilities over longer historical periods, different market conditions, and across a wider range of asset classes.

Mysten Labs co-founder Adeniyi Abiodun stated at Consensus 2026 that the Sui network has processed over $1 trillion in stablecoin transaction volume since August last year, and plans to launch zero-fee stablecoin transfers and privacy payment features.Abiodun stated that Sui aims to become the "default network for the future flow of funds," noting that current traditional cross-border payment systems charge excessively high fees. Odaily News Bitcoin contributor Jameson Loop and other cryptographers have proposed an initiative that could force Bitcoin holders to migrate their tokens to new quantum-resistant addresses, otherwise their tokens would be permanently frozen by the network itself. In this scenario, holders would technically still "own" the coins but would lose the ability to transfer them. This is known as Bitcoin Improvement Proposal BIP-361, which was updated in Bitcoin's official proposal repository on Tuesday under the title "Post-Quantum Migration and Legacy Signature Deprecation".BIP-361 builds upon the BIP-360 proposal introduced in February. BIP-360 introduced a soft fork (a network upgrade) designed to enable a new transaction type called "Pay-to-Merkle-Root" (P2MR). This method draws from Bitcoin's Taproot (P2TR) framework but removes the key-based spending path, thereby eliminating an element widely considered to be at risk in the quantum era.The BIP-361 proposal divides the migration into three phases. Phase A begins three years after activation, prohibiting anyone from sending new Bitcoin to legacy, quantum-vulnerable addresses. You can still spend from these addresses but cannot receive any coins.Phase B begins five years after activation, rendering legacy signatures (ECDSA and Schnorr) completely invalid. The network will reject any attempts to spend coins from quantum-vulnerable wallets. Essentially, your coins will be frozen.Finally, there is Phase C, a still-under-research rescue plan: holders of frozen wallets may be able to prove ownership via zero-knowledge proofs (a method of proving knowledge of a secret without revealing the secret itself). The Kansas City Federal Reserve’s latest analysis indicates that stablecoins currently serve primarily as tools for cryptocurrency trading and liquidity provision within the financial ecosystem, rather than as mainstream payment instruments. According to the report, approximately 49% of stablecoin supply supports trading liquidity on centralized exchanges, decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, and broader crypto infrastructure; 29% is used for wallet-to-wallet transfers or internal fund operations; and 21% remains idle—with less than 1% actually deployed for real-world payments. The report notes that, as natively crypto-designed instruments, stablecoins face constraints in cross-chain interoperability and integration with traditional financial systems, hindering their large-scale adoption for payments. Although payment processors such as Mastercard and Visa announced support for related technologies in 2026, stablecoin-based payment use cases remain in their infancy. Future development hinges on resolving critical challenges including interoperability, regulatory compliance, and identity verification.
