In a research report released on Thursday, DWF Labs pointed out that daily fund flows of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs are poor predictors of Bitcoin's subsequent price movements, as investors tend to buy after prices rise and withdraw funds when prices fall. The study covered 694 trading days since the launch of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs in January 2024: in the 8 instances where Bitcoin's price dropped by 15%, net ETF outflows occurred 7 times; while in all 9 instances where prices rose by 15%, net inflows occurred. DWF Labs concluded that ETF fund flows are more of a confirmation of market trends rather than a leading indicator.Data shows that the correlation coefficient between same-day ETF fund flows and Bitcoin price changes over the previous 5 trading days was 0.54, but the correlation coefficient with price changes over the subsequent 5 trading days was only 0.03. Between October 2025 and February 2026, Bitcoin ETFs saw net outflows of approximately $6.9 billion, and during the market downturn from May to June 2026, net outflows reached approximately $8.2 billion. DWF Labs also noted that some ETF trading may involve hedging strategies that combine buying fund shares with shorting Bitcoin via CME futures, meaning fund flows do not directly reflect investors' true bullish or bearish positions. Odaily Odaily News According to on-chain analyst Ai Yi's monitoring, DEXE reached an all-time high of $49.432 on July 12. It began to decline on July 13, and on July 21, it experienced a single-day maximum drop of 88%, with the price falling from $46.93 to $5.648. Over 11 days, the decline reached 96.8%, with the price dropping from $49.423 to $1.56. Ai Yi stated that the large on-chain fund flows were primarily from CEX hot wallets, and no anomalies were found except for those involving Ceffu. Since July 13, the custody platform Ceffu has transferred a total of 797,900 DEXE to Binance, split across 6 transactions, with a total value of $6.15 million. This makes Ceffu the only entity, besides exchanges, to move over a million dollars worth of this token. Ai Yi noted that due to the Ceffu MirrorX mechanism, DEXE held in Ceffu generates a 1:1 mirrored position on the exchange, and on-chain asset transfers are settled automatically afterward. If this mechanism was used for front-running, the actual value corresponding to the 797,900 DEXE would be $39.44 million. Ai Yi further indicated that public records do not show the DEXE project team depositing tokens with Ceffu, with most tokens being held in the DAO treasury and team-related lock-up contracts. Among DEXE's official partners, Falcon had supported DEXE as collateral on its platform. Falcon's asset custodian includes Ceffu, and Falcon Finance is associated with DWF Labs, which is also on DEXE's partner list. Ai Yi stated that the above conclusions are based on on-chain data and public clues, and it cannot be ruled out that the project team or other market makers are involved.
Odaily Odaily News According to on-chain analyst Ai Yi's monitoring, ESPORTS experienced a flash crash, dropping by 92%. DWF Labs is suspected to be the market maker for this token. Five days ago, an address (0x7Ef...C10dD) deposited 19.9 million ESPORTS tokens, valued at $13.9 million, to a Kraken address associated with DWF Labs. The upstream funds for this address originated from the token's deployment address, which is also one of the addresses that contributed to this flash crash, having frequently sold tokens on-chain.
