When the collateral price falls below some arbitrary level, rather than being completely liquidated, the position is gradually restored using a new type of yield derivative. Lenders who provide capital can maintain a stable position when the funds they lend become worthless and receive higher yields from the gradual repossession of collateral, rather than being sold off in a sell-off.
