Algorand Releases Quantum-Resistant Upgrade Roadmap, Aiming for Full-Chain Quantum Security by 2027–2028

: The Algorand Foundation has released a quantum-resistant upgrade roadmap, planning to initiate a series of protocol upgrades in 2026 and achieve the network's overall "quantum security" capability by the end of 2027 to 2028, in response to the potential threat that future quantum computing poses to existing cryptographic systems. The roadmap shows that the first phase will introduce a post-quantum account system, multi-signature wallets, and staking support, followed by a gradual upgrade of core protocol components to achieve a comprehensive cryptographic migration from the wallet layer to the infrastructure. It is reported that multiple public blockchain ecosystems, including the Ethereum Foundation and Solana, have also initiated similar research into post-quantum cryptography and migration planning. Renaiss, an RWA infrastructure protocol for collectibles, has closed a $1.5 million seed funding round led by YZi Labs.

Renaiss, a real-world collectibles liquidity infrastructure, announced the successful completion of a $1.5 million seed funding round, led by YZi Labs, with participation from Gate Ventures, Hash Global, XIN Family, and Redline Labs. Angel investors include Mask Network, Far East Group, Logoman, Hoopi, and Legit App. Built on BNB Chain, Renaiss aims to connect third-party vaults, card shops, and custodial nodes via its Renaiss Vault OS, while Renaiss.XYZ serves as the application layer enabling users to access the on-chain collectibles market. Renaiss provides verifiable custody, standardized settlement, and on-chain liquidity for physical collectibles—eliminating friction in verification, custody, pricing, and cross-border transactions. This allows custodially verified collectibles to undergo ownership transfers on-chain and circulate globally in a trustless, permissionless manner. The funds will be used to expand the vault network, strengthen product development and integration with the Renaiss SDK ecosystem, broaden the range of supported collectible categories, drive global market expansion, and support infrastructure development for DeFi integration and AI Agents. Notably, Renaiss has been selected as a project in the third cohort of YZi Labs’ EASY Residency incubation program.

Algorand Releases Post-Quantum Upgrade Roadmap, Aiming for Full-Chain Quantum Security by 2027–2028

The Algorand Foundation has officially released its post-quantum upgrade roadmap, planning to initiate a series of protocol modifications in 2026 and achieve full “quantum-resilient” capability across the network by the end of 2027 through 2028—addressing potential future threats posed by quantum computing to existing cryptographic systems. According to the roadmap, Phase I will introduce a post-quantum account system, multi-signature wallets, and staking support; subsequent phases will progressively upgrade core protocol components, enabling comprehensive cryptographic migration—from wallet layers to infrastructure. It is reported that several other public-chain ecosystems—including the Ethereum Foundation and Solana—have also launched similar research and migration initiatives for post-quantum cryptography.

Squid Integrates Ripple's Stablecoin RLUSD, Enabling One-Click Cross-Chain Swaps

Squid, a cross-chain infrastructure platform, has announced the integration of RLUSD, the stablecoin issued by Ripple. Users can now swap into or out of RLUSD in a single transaction across different blockchains and digital assets.Through this integration, RLUSD will gain access to over 100 blockchains and more than 20,000 tokens supported by Squid. Users can directly exchange assets such as USDC, USDT, ETH, and XRP for RLUSD without needing to manually bridge chains, wrap tokens, or execute multiple transactions.RLUSD is natively issued on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum, and has been extended to Ethereum Layer 2 networks such as the XRPL EVM Sidechain, Optimism, Base, Ink, and Unichain via Wormhole's Native Token Transfer standard. Squid's routing layer sits atop these underlying transfer mechanisms, allowing users to utilize RLUSD irrespective of the specific issuance chain.Squid states that its intent-based routing system, which uses market makers to fulfill orders with liquidity on the destination chain, can settle transactions within seconds and is compatible with various cross-chain messaging and issuance standards. Beyond end-users, developers can also integrate RLUSD through Squid's tools for applications including cross-chain payments, treasury management, user onboarding, and DeFi.
