Financial Infrastructure Command Platform Cordant Completes $8 Million Seed Round Financing

According to Business Wire, financial infrastructure command platform Cordant announced the completion of an $8 million seed funding round, jointly led by Motive Partners and Oak HC/FT, with participation from institutions such as Bitso, Paxos, Bankless VC, FJ Labs, and SignalFire. Cordant was founded by a former executive team from Rapyd and is positioned as a real-time operations command center for payment companies, fintechs, and banks, capable of integrating data from payment rails, bank accounts, ledgers, compliance, and risk systems to provide teams with a unified operational view without the need to migrate data or replace existing core systems. The funding will be used for product development and private beta customer deployments.

Cordant, a stablecoin and digital asset financial infrastructure provider, has announced the completion of an $8 million seed funding round. Participating investors include Bankless VC, FJ Labs, SignalFire, Quona, Next Stage, Selah Ventures, Flatironx, Nascent Ventures, Silvercircle Ventures, and Generative Ventures. The new capital will support the company's introduction of new payment networks and AI automation tools. Cordant is collaborating with financial institutions on product development, covering banking, payments, embedded finance, cross-border transactions, stablecoins, and digital assets. Ripple reveals eight RLUSD developments involving payments, exchanges, and cross-chain infrastructure

Jack McDonald, Senior Vice President of Ripple's stablecoin business, disclosed eight recent developments regarding RLUSD in a post on X on June 29, covering settlement, regional access, on-chain liquidity, cross-border payments, multi-chain support, exchange listings, charity, and the Japanese market. Mastercard has expanded its settlement capabilities to support RLUSD across eight blockchain networks, including the XRP Ledger. Ripple has also expanded RLUSD's availability in Turkey through partnerships with BiLira, Bitexen, and Bitlo, and collaborated with Bitso to enable RLUSD and MXNB to support liquidity and cross-border transactions via the XRP Ledger's Permissioned DEX. RLUSD has also achieved multi-chain support through Wormhole Native Token Transfers and entered the Japanese market via SBI VC Trade after receiving approval from the Japan Financial Services Agency. Additionally, RLUSD has been listed on exchanges such as Gate and Floq, integrated with the cross-chain infrastructure provider Squid Router, and Ripple has joined Water's GetBlue campaign as its exclusive digital asset and payment partner.

Bitso Report: Stablecoins Account for 40% of Latin American Cryptocurrency Purchases, with USDC Purchases Exceeding Those of BTC

According to Bitcoin.com News, Bitso, one of Latin America’s largest cryptocurrency service providers, has released its “2025 Latin American Crypto Landscape Report.” The report shows that nearly 40% of cryptocurrency purchases in the region in 2025 involved U.S. dollar-pegged assets such as USDT and USDC. The analysis draws on data from nearly 10 million customers across key markets including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.
