Irish authorities recover another 500 BTC from lost Bitcoin of convicted drug trafficker Clifton Collins

The Irish Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) stated that it has recovered another 500 BTC, worth nearly $31 million, from the lost crypto assets of convicted drug trafficker Clifton Collins. To date, the agency has recovered a total of 1,500 BTC in this case, valued at over $92 million at current prices. This operation was supported by Europol's European Cybercrime Centre. Europol stated that it organized operational meetings at its headquarters in The Hague and provided investigators with complex technical support and decryption resources to help them access the relevant wallet assets. The case involves 12 Bitcoin wallets accumulated by Collins from the proceeds of selling and cultivating cannabis, which initially held a total of 6,000 BTC. Previously, Irish authorities had recovered 500 BTC each in March and May.Arkham data shows that approximately 4,500 BTC remain in dormant wallets, valued at over $275 million.

ZachXBT: AscendEX Withdrawal Delays Raise Concerns Over On-Chain Reserves and Liquidity Stress

ZachXBT issued a community alert on X, warning that the centralized exchange AscendEX (formerly Bitmax) has recently been reported to experience delays in processing user withdrawals—some withdrawal requests may take several days or even weeks. ZachXBT noted that ETH, USDT, SOL, and other major high-market-cap assets are held in relatively low amounts within known hot wallets flagged by Arkham and TRM, potentially indicating liquidity pressure facing the platform.

Taiko bridge attack may result in losses up to $1.7 million

Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain Taiko has stated its chain state verification mechanism has been compromised, and the security assumptions of all bridges deployed on Taiko can no longer be relied upon. It urges users to immediately withdraw funds from the relevant bridges. Taiko says it is coordinating with partners to control the incident and has suspended the affected systems.Crypto security firm Blockaid stated that the root cause appears to be a flaw in the way Taiko's bridge validates source signals. Attackers can submit message proofs on Ethereum that lack legitimate proof from the Taiko chain, thereby registering and withdrawing fraudulent bridge messages. This leads to the unauthorized release of assets from the ERC20 treasury. Blockaid estimates at least $1 million was stolen, while Lookonchain and PeckShield believe the value of stolen assets could be as high as $1.7 million.PeckShield reported that the attacker has transferred approximately 1.99 million TAIKO tokens to MEXC, valued at around $189,000. Data from blockchain intelligence firm Arkham shows that the Taiko attacker's wallet holds approximately $1.5 million in assets, primarily in Ether. (Cointelegraph)

Arkham Launches Predictive Market Data Analysis Feature, Allowing Users to Track Trader Holdings and Profit Performance

Arkham has launched a predictive market data analysis feature, enabling users to track the on-chain behavior, holdings, and comprehensive performance analysis of traders in the predictive market. The new feature allows users to view top predictive market traders ranked by profit and loss (PNL), analyze their historical and current positions, win rates, individual trade performance, and profit curves. It also supports setting up trade alerts and on-chain behavior monitoring for specific addresses, along with providing a real-time predictive market transaction flow monitor. This allows users to view market dynamics by categories such as politics, sports, and crypto, and track the trading behavior and position changes of all participants.
