Google and SpaceX sign agreement to purchase computing power for $920 million per month

Company documents show that Google (GOOG.O) has agreed to pay SpaceX $920 million per month for computing capacity as part of a cloud services agreement extending through mid-2029. In filings submitted on Friday, SpaceX stated that Google will begin paying monthly fees to SpaceX starting in October and continuing through June 2029. The computing capacity provided includes approximately 110,000 NVIDIA GPUs, CPUs, memory, and other related components; the total compute capacity will ramp up gradually before September, with corresponding reductions in fees. The documents indicate that if SpaceX fails to deliver the agreed-upon number of GPUs by September 30, 2026, Google has the right to terminate the contract, subject to a one-month grace period. Additionally, under the agreement disclosed on Friday, either party may terminate the agreement upon 90 days’ prior notice.
