South Chungcheong Province, South Korea Completes First Organizational Reform, Newly Establishes AI and Youth-Dedicated Agencies

According to Yonhap News, South Chungcheong Province, South Korea (a wide-area administrative division located in the west-central part of South Korea, with Hongseong as its capital), has completed its first organizational reform since the 9th elected term. The relevant ordinance was deliberated and passed by the Provincial Council on the 29th and will officially take effect on August 10. This reform newly established the "AI Basic Social Health and Welfare Office" and the "AI Industry Innovation Bureau," responsible for integrating AI into the field of public welfare and promoting regional industrial AI transformation, respectively; at the same time, the "Youth Growth Bureau" was newly established to coordinate youth employment, housing, and regional settlement support, and the "Social Solidarity Economy Bureau" is responsible for fostering social enterprises and cooperatives.
