Eli Ben-Sasson (@EliBenSasson) stated that, as CEO of StarkWare—a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum—he maintains a neutral stance toward the recent controversies involving the Ethereum Foundation, neither criticizing nor blindly defending it. He recounted StarkWare’s journey since 2019/2020 developing post-quantum secure ZK STARK systems for Ethereum, noting that the team’s technical choices—spanning STARKs, zkVM, Cairo, native account abstraction (AA), and Bitcoin scaling—were once viewed as “misaligned” with Ethereum, yet have now been adopted by multiple teams. He called for the future Ethereum ecosystem to prioritize technology and capability over whether projects are “aligned” with Ethereum—and expressed willingness to collaborate more closely with Ethereum should this principle be realized.
