Hana Securities and Upbit Global Sign Virtual Asset Financial Cooperation MOU

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hana Securities and Upbit Global, which oversees Upbit's overseas operations, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for business cooperation on September 11. The two companies will collaborate on developing virtual asset operational business models, designing related products and services, and building infrastructure. Both firms maintain business offices in Singapore. Kang Sung-mo, Managing Director of Hana Securities, stated that the company is accelerating its digital asset initiatives and will align with the establishment of a regulatory framework for Security Token Offerings (STOs). It will progressively build key infrastructure, including issuance platforms, while actively preparing for the full launch of the STO market next year.
