Supreme People's Court Issues Document Clarifying Adjudication Rules for "AI Face-Swapping and Voice-Cloning" Cases and Related Matters
According to Xinhua News Agency, on September 7, the Supreme People's Court issued the Opinions on the Lawful Adjudication of Cases Involving Artificial Intelligence Disputes. The opinions consist of five parts and 24 provisions, precisely addressing issues such as "AI face-swapping and voice cloning," infringement from "AI hallucinations," online "doxxing," big data price discrimination, autonomous driving, AI model training, open-source software, and intellectual property protection. It specifically clarifies substantive adjudication and litigation procedural rules for AI-related cases, aiming to strengthen judicial protection of civil rights and interests in the digital age and promote the healthy, orderly development of artificial intelligence.
