According to Reuters, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has once again called for a comprehensive ban on cryptocurrencies and is seeking to limit cryptocurrency-related exposures of banking institutions. Internal documents show that the RBI aims to explicitly prohibit banks from accessing crypto assets, while Indian tax officials also warned that offshore crypto trading activities are becoming increasingly active, significantly increasing the difficulty of regulatory enforcement.
