According to Bloomberg, Microsoft plans to expand its global data center capacity by more than threefold, increasing it from approximately 12 gigawatts currently to over 38 gigawatts by 2032, surpassing New York State's peak electricity consumption. Previously, Microsoft had to turn down some AI and cloud business due to a shortage of computing power. This large-scale expansion aims to meet the continuously growing demand for AI and cloud computing.
