Cyberspace Administration of China: Legislation will be strengthened in fields such as artificial intelligence, the digital economy, and blockchain.

Source: mp.weixin.qq.com
According to an article published in the journal Qiushi by the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, China will accelerate the development of a cyber legal system with Chinese characteristics that meets the needs of internet development—particularly strengthening legislation in areas such as artificial intelligence, the digital economy, internet infrastructure, satellite internet, and blockchain—striving to ensure that cyber legislation keeps pace with informatization progress wherever it occurs. The article also notes that, as of December 2025, China has enacted over 180 laws and regulations in the cyber domain; however, compared to the rapid advancement of information technologies, the pertinence and effectiveness of cyber legislation still fall short of public expectations.
