South Korea's financial regulators plan to introduce the Digital Assets Basic Act this fall.

According to The Block, South Korea's top financial regulator stated that it will accelerate discussions on cryptocurrency legislation and plans to introduce South Korea's version of the Basic Act on Digital Assets this fall. The bill is expected to establish relevant regulatory rules for areas such as stablecoin issuance, Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) licensing, and Bitcoin ETFs.
