Cursor has now become one of the key players in the AI programming space, benefiting from strong developer demand for automated programming and productivity tools—where OpenAI and Anthropic are fiercely competing. Meanwhile, Microsoft faces another set of pressures, with its stock down 10% this year, underperforming its peers in the hyperscale data center sector.
