Brazilian women's cryptocurrency participation rate has nearly tripled in six years, now accounting for nearly 30% of the transaction count.

According to the latest report from the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (RFB), the proportion of Brazilian women participating in cryptocurrency trading surged significantly from 11.34% in 2019 to 29.96% in December 2025, nearly tripling over six years, and even reaching a historical peak of 40.95% in January 2024. However, the growth in the proportion of trading volume by female investors lagged significantly, standing at only 12.88% in 2025, basically flat compared to 2019, indicating that the average single transaction size for women remains lower than that of men. Meanwhile, Brazil launched the Crypto Asset Declaration System (DeCripto) in 2025, and will enforce monthly declarations starting from July 1, 2026, with multiple female practitioners and civil servants participating in the formulation of relevant regulations.
