Optimism Foundation proposes rebating a portion of sequencer fees to ecosystem partners to incentivize OP Mainnet growth.

Source: gov.optimism.io
According to disclosures on the Optimism Governance Forum, the Optimism Foundation has proposed returning sequencer fees to select partners driving key business activity on OP Mainnet. The refunded funds will come from ETH fee revenue generated by related transactions, rather than from OP tokens. The proposal requires that refund amounts do not exceed the fee revenue brought in by the partners, and establishes activity milestones, a fixed partnership term, and performance requirements. The Foundation also plans to disclose the range of total refunds relative to sequencer and priority transaction fee revenue in its annual budget report. The proposal remains pending governance approval.
