OpenAI to spend over $2 billion acquiring Cerebras chips and equity

According to The Information, OpenAI plans to invest over $20 billion in servers powered by Cerebras chips over the next three years. The report states that, as part of the agreement, OpenAI will also receive equity in Cerebras. Cerebras is a U.S.-based AI chip and computing systems company that primarily provides hardware and infrastructure for AI training and AI inference scenarios.
