Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, announced on X that the number of self-custodial wallets built using the open-source WDK technology has surpassed 100,000—demonstrating accelerating adoption of open-source wallet development tools in real-world crypto infrastructure. The user base of the self-custodial ecosystem and developer adoption rates continue to grow steadily.
Earlier, WDK was introduced as an open-source wallet development kit supported by Tether, capable of integration into any device—from embedded systems to mobile, desktop, or server operating systems.
