According to the Compound governance forum, the proposal submitted by community member Humpy titled "Terminate Community Multi-Sig Cancellation Rights" has entered an on-chain pending state. The proposal aims to invoke the Governor contract's setProposalGuardian to set the community multi-sig's (0xbbf3…012c, 5/9 signature threshold) proposal cancellation right to expire at 00:00 UTC on November 1, 2026 (timestamp 1793491200), while retaining its Pause Guardian permission to pause markets. According to the proposal description, on October 22, five signers from the community multi-sig (Cylon, Gauntlet, Arr00, PGov, Zeroshadow) cancelled Proposal 618 before voting began. This proposal intended to transfer the $5 million EPCF fund to the community multi-sig. Humpy stated that the proposal met all on-chain requirements, contained no malicious code, and posed no security threat. The proposal also points out that the Compound Foundation previously paid advisory fees to two of the signers, Arr00 and Cylon, indicating a potential conflict of interest. Additionally, Proposal 538 passed in February this year extended this cancellation right for four years, with the original expiration date being September 12, 2026. The proposal also cites forum discussions, stating that the foundation had reserved 8.42 million v2 DAI
