Customers will not suffer any loss of funds, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa confirms hack
Odaily reports: According to monitoring by Bitcoin News, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa has confirmed that hackers carried out fraudulent transactions. Blockchain investigator @zachxbt estimates losses exceeding $133 million. Blockchain analytics firm Bitquery traced $108.8 million in USDC transferred out of Kraken, Crypto.com, and OKX accounts within 21 hours. To avoid the issuer freezing the funds, the attackers quickly converted the stolen stablecoins into ETH, with $63 million converted into 27,553 ETH within 4 hours. The bank stated that the attack has been contained and customers will not suffer any loss of funds. The total amount stolen has still not been confirmed.
