digital asset trading platform Uphold has laid off 17% of its global workforce and is redirecting resources toward its growing enterprise business. The company stated that it will not close any offices, and services for clients in the UK, Europe, and enterprise customers will continue as usual.
Uphold noted that weakening retail crypto trading activity accelerated this adjustment; meanwhile, demand from banks, fintech companies, and broker-dealers continues to grow.
