According to an official GameStop announcement, GameStop (NYSE: GME) has released its preliminary second-quarter financial data for the period ending August 1, 2026:

Net sales: $780 million to $800 million (down year-over-year, compared to $972 million in the same period last year), primarily impacted by the base effect of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, store closures, and the divestiture of the French business;

Operating profit: $150 million to $170 million ($66.4 million in the same period last year, representing a significant year-over-year increase);
•
Net income: $290 million to $310 million ($169 million in the same period last year), which includes approximately $238 million in net gains from eBay derivative assets and equity investments, partially offset by approximately $75 million in digital asset losses;
•
Cash and securities: $5.05 billion to $5.07 billion;
•
eBay holdings: Approximately 43.4 million shares of eBay common stock, with a fair value of approximately $4.947 billion.
