Cursor Co-founder: Currently Communicating with OpenAI Team to Seek Solutions
Michael Truell, co-founder of Cursor, stated that OpenAI issued a notice saying it plans to block Cursor users from accessing OpenAI models in three months. Truell noted that OpenAI models account for approximately 5% of Cursor's user traffic, and Cursor is communicating with the OpenAI team to seek a solution. He also added that Cursor was one of OpenAI's earliest users, both parties have maintained close cooperation over the years, and they have consistently regarded the OpenAI platform as neutral infrastructure.
