According to The Kobeissi Letter (@KobeissiLetter), government bond yields across major global economies have continued to rise, with the US returning to 2007 levels, the UK to 1998 levels, Germany and France to 2008 levels, and Japan to 1996 levels; among them, the UK 30-year government bond yield touched 5.95% today, its highest since March 1998 and 15 times the 2020 level, placing its borrowing costs at the top of the G7.
