South Korea's Financial Services Commission Plans KRX-Centered Pilot for Tokenizing Listed Shares
In its policy guidelines for tokenized securities released on September 4, the Financial Services Commission of Korea stated that it will draw reference from the pilot projects of the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq to simultaneously advance the validation of tokenization models for listed stocks and conduct pilot operations centered on the Korea Exchange (KRX). Regarding unlisted stocks, the country will issue trust beneficiary securities for unlisted stocks in the form of tokenized securities through a trust arrangement.
