Thailand True Internet Data Center Seeks $2 Billion Loan, Betting on Southeast Asia AI and Cloud Services Hub Status

According to Bloomberg, Thailand's True Internet Data Center is seeking a loan equivalent to approximately US$2 billion to construct new data center facilities, aiming to assist Thailand in developing into a regional AI and cloud service hub. In terms of financing structure, the loan will be divided into three tranches, with approximately US$1.8 billion denominated in US dollars and the other two tranches denominated in Thai baht. Sources familiar with the matter requested anonymity, and details of the transaction have not been publicly disclosed.
