Japan’s Financial Services Agency orders Moomoo Securities to partially suspend operations, halting new account openings for three months
According to Nikkei, Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) announced on June 19 that it has ordered Moomoo Securities to suspend certain business operations, specifically prohibiting the solicitation and acceptance of new account openings from June 19 to September 18—a period of three months. At the same time, regulators also issued a business improvement order, requiring the company to clarify accountability—including at the management level—and formulate a corrective action plan to prevent recurrence.
