Hut 8 Applies for Nearly $399 Million Construction Project at Texas Beacon Point AI Campus

According to TheEnergyMag, Hut 8 has filed for a nearly $399 million construction project at its Beacon Point AI data center campus near Corpus Christi, Texas. The project involves a data center building of approximately 657,000 square feet, expected to commence construction on September 28 and be completed by November 2027. The campus has currently signed two 15-year leases for 352 MW each, bringing the total contracted capacity to 704 MW, with base lease contract values totaling approximately $19.6 billion; the initial phase has secured $4.25 billion in financing support.
