According to Xinhua News Agency, Iranian media reported on the 15th that Bahram Ghasemi, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Iran would assume responsibility for managing safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz “for a specific period” and would charge fees for related shipping services.
